Monitoring Components Using LEDs
This table describes the LED functions on the Pulse Secure Gateway components.
LED
State
Meaning
Possible Cause and Corrective Actions
Activity
Blinking
yellow
The hard drive is being
accessed.
Normal condition. No action is required
Off
The device is starting up.
Normal condition. No action is required.
Alarm
Red
The device detects a major
alarm, such as overheating.
A major alarm indicates a critical situation on the
gateway that requires immediate action. Contact
Pulse Secure Technical Support.
Blinking red
The fan has stopped, or the
fan tray has been removed.
Ensure that the fan tray is properly inserted into
the back of the chassis. If the fan tray is properly
inserted and is still not functioning, replace the
fan tray. If you do not have a spare fan tray or if
you need more assistance, contact Pulse Secure
Technical Support.
Off
The device is starting up.
Normal condition. No action is required.
NOTE: When the system is up and running, if the
Alarm LED is off, it indicates that no alarms are
present on the device.
Power
Green
The device is receiving
power and is functioning
normally.
Normal condition. No action is required.
Off
The device is not receiving
power
Normal condition if the Pulse Secure Gateway is
switched off. No action is required.
If you have not powered off the Pulse Secure
Gateway, verify that the AC power cord from the
power source to the device is not damaged, the
socket is in working condition, and the device has
an AC input voltage between 110 and 240 VAC.
