Push button compare is another way of entering data into the
compare buffer. Once the contact is activated the scanner will
insert the next code read into the compare buffer. This will
automatically turn the compare mode on if it wasn’t already. This
should not be used with the Read Count command.
EXAMPLE:
If three labels are read: ab123, bc123, cd123.
When the push button compare mode is selected:
ab123+bc123+cd123 would be entered into compare
string number one.
* - ignores all characters from that point on in the bar code.
? - ignores the character in that position in the bar code.
Note:
The delimiter is automatically added to the string unless there is
nothing selected for the delimiter.
