MULTI 2000
Measuring the pH
1. Connect the pH glass insertion electrode.
2. Switch the device on using the Ein/Aus
button. While the button is pressed, the
electrode slope of the last calibration is dis-
played.
3. The pH is displayed and a beep confirms that
the measured value is stable.
4. The mode button can be used to switch to
mV display. The voltage which the pH glass
insertion electrode is currently supplying to
the MULTI 2000 is then displayed.
Two-point calibration of
the pH glass insertion electrode
1. Connect the pH glass insertion electrode.
2. Switch the device on using the Ein/Aus
button.
3. Use the CAL button to switch the device to
calibration mode > LED lights up red and
”C7“ flashes.
4. Immerse the sensor in the pH 7 calibration
solution within one minute, move it slightly
and start calibration by pressing the CAL but-
ton.
5. The value measured flashes, alternating
with ”C.7“, until the first calibration point is
reached.
6. If ”C.4“ flashes within one minute, rinse the
sensor with distilled water and immerse in a
pH4 calibration solution, move it slightly and
start calibration by pressing the CAL button.
7. The value measured flashes, alternating
with ”C.4“, until the second calibration point
is also reached. The red LED goes dark, the
new electrode slope is briefly displayed and
the device returns to the current measure-
ment.
Measuring soil activity
1. Connect the AM sensor.
2. Switch the device on using the Ein/Aus
button. .... appears on the display.
3. The measurement is carried out by pressing
the AM button and the value appears on the
display.
The LED lights up in the case of values <
0.20g/l and flashes in the case of values >
0.99g/l.
Important:
The AM button must be pressed so that the
value currently measured by the sensor is
displayed!
In order to avoid polarisation effects that dis-
tort measuring results and to save the bat-
tery, measuring is only carried out as long as
the AM button is pressed.
