When using a crane, only lift the machine by the lifting eyes.
Only lifting gear with the permitted load capacity may be used.
Transportation using the chassis
Depending on the country, a specific driving licence may be required for transportation using
the chassis on public roads.
Familiarise yourself with the country-specific requirements.
Observe the road traffic regulations when driving on public roads.
Observe the legal and technical provisions for the trailer/work machine when it is used on
public roads!
As the driver, you are responsible for the transportation!
Pay attention to both the construction-specific speed as well as the specific country
regulations for the transport speed (the maximum transport speed may be lower)!
The construction-specific speed may differ depending on the type.
.....T
Tractor chassis, 10 km/h (not approved for use in road traffic)
.....DT
Tractor chassis, detachable drawbar, 10 km/h (not approved for use in
road traffic)
For tractor chassis without a light system:
During twilight hours, in the dark, in case of fog or other reduced visibility, a light must be
attached to the rear (magnetic, clip-on light, etc.)
Connecting:
▪ Place the machine in the transport position.
See also ..... Prior to transport [➙ 31]
▪ Connect the drawbar eye or ball coupling (depending on the chassis type) of the chassis
to the tractor.
▪ Move the stabiliser foot or support wheel (depending on the chassis type) to the top
position.
Checks before every trip:
▪ Has the connection to the tractor been correctly established and secured?
▪ Is the stabiliser foot or support wheel (depending on the chassis type) secured in the
top position?
▪ Have the chocks been removed and stowed away?
▪ Has the maximum support load been complied with?
See also ..... Table – maximum support load
▪ Have the wheel bolts and wheel nuts been tightened?
See also ..... Table – tightening torques for wheel bolts and wheel nuts
▪ Are the tyres undamaged and is sufficient tread depth available?
See also ..... Minimum tyre tread depth
▪ Have the tyres been filled to the correct air pressure?
