Intensive windshield washer
system reservoir
The transparent reservoir is located in the
engine compartment in front of the radiator.
To avoid paint damage, we recommend the
exclusive use of a "special silicone re-
mover" cleaning agent. Clear water and
antifreeze w i l l not be sufficient.
Your Porsche dealer can advise you which
product to use.

Power steering fluid reservoir
The reservoir is located in the engine c o m -
partment on the left side.
To check fluid l e v e l . . .
1 - remove cap from reservoir
2 - w i t h engine running at operating tem-
perature, the fluid level should meet the
mark on the reservoir.
If necessary, top up with ATF Dexron.
3 - reinstall cap and make sure that sealing
ring is seated c o r r e c t l y .
Changing air cleaner filter element
A dirty air cleaner not only reduces engine
performance, but can lead to premature
engine wear. The filter element must be re-
placed at the intervals listed in your Main-
tenance Schedule. If driving is mostly done
in areas where the air is v e r y dusty, the air
cleaner should be checked and cleaned
frequently - perhaps daily.
1 - Detach air intake hoses from air cleaner
housing. M a k e sure that each hose stays
connected to the toothed belt covers.
2 - Loosen rubber fasteners and remove top
of f i l t e r housing together w i t h filter ele-
ment.
3 - Clean filter housing w i t h lint-free rag and
install new filter element.
4 - Reattach air intake hoses to air cleaner
housing.
