RESOLUTION
When the Printer button is
pressed, the Impulse voice
prompt says “printer
problem.”
•
Confirm that the printer is powered on and
loaded with ink and paper.
•
The Impulse system may be unable to find your
printer. For Ethernet network printers, make
sure the Ethernet network print server adapter
is plugged in to the printer and has power. For
Bluetooth wireless printers, move the printer
closer to the Impulse board.
•
Verify that the proper IP address (for network
printers0 or Bluetooth address (for Bluetooth
printers) is entered on the board’s admin
section. Refer to “The Admin Network
Subsection” on page 38.
•
For Ethernet network printers, make sure the
network print server adapter has not
overheated. Unplug the adapter and then plug
it in again. Remove any paper or other material
that may be restricting ventilation. Lower the
temperature in the surrounding environment.
•
For Bluetooth wireless printers, check for
interfering devices, such as microwave ovens,
wireless telephones, and other network devices
operating at 2.4 GHz.
The optional Bluetooth
wireless printer sometimes
stops in the middle of a
printout.
•
The printer may be too far away. Move the
printer closer to the Impulse board.
•
Check for interfering devices, such as
microwave ovens, wireless telephones, and
other network devices operating at 2.4 GHz.
