5 Troubleshooting

No Laser Beam
If no laser beam is being emitted, check the following:
1. Have you correctly connected up the instrument as described in

status display on the front of the instrument lit up?
If not, it can be assumed that there is a fault in the mains supply of the
front-end. In this case, disconnect the mains plug and check the fuses
on the back. There are two active fuses which can both lead to failure.
4. Have you activated the laser in the software?

Illumination Module in the Sensor Head does not Light up
If the illumination module in the sensor head does not light up, check the
following:
1. Have you correctly connected up the instrument as described in

3. Is the

If not, it can be assumed that there is a fault in the mains supply of the
front-end. In this case, disconnect the mains plug and check the fuses

4. Have you adjusted the lighting brightness in the software?
Set the lighting brightness, as described in your software manual.

Laser Beam is Not Pointing at the Scan Points
If the laser beam does not reach defined scan points when moved, then carry
out a 2D alignment. Refer to your PSV software manual.
