Carefully depressurize the shock.

Using a snap ring pliers, remove the retaining ring
from the reservoir.

Carefully remove the cap from the reservoir body.

Using a 1" open-end wrench or adjustable wrench,
loosen and remove the bearing cap from the shock
body.

Slowly lift up and remove the shock rod assembly
from the shock body.
