1. Plextor Manager 2000 Applications
Just look at all you get with Plextor Manager 2000:
•
MVP 2000: A music/video player and recorder specifically designed to take
advantage of your Plextor drive’s audio capabilities, including support for MP3
(MPEG-1 Layer 3) and WMA (Windows Media Audio) files.
•
Audio Capture 2000: The one software tool you need to capture music tracks
from CD to hard disk as WAV files or to encode as WMA files.
•
AudioFS: View and manipulate CD-Audio files as WAV files.
•
DiscDupe 2000: Duplicate music, video, or data CDs with this one-touch
program.
•
Drive Properties: Enhanced control and more information about your drive and
media.
System Requirements
•
Hardware: Personal computer (not a Macintosh or UNIX machine)
•
Operating systems: Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT
•
CPU: Pentium 200 MHz (minimum)
•
RAM: 64 MB
•
Sound Card: For audio playback
•
Graphics: Super VGA
•
IDE or SCSI Interface: Use a PCI bus mastering controller for best
performance.
•
CD Drive (reading): Plextor or other MMC-compliant drives can be used as a
source for reading. MMC-compliant drives must support the “CD-DA Stream Is
Accurate” feature to take advantage of all Plextor Manager 2000 functions.
NOTE: Here’s the good news: Drives built by most manufacturers since late 1998 are
“MMC-compliant.” (That is, they comply with the Multi-Media Command set.) And
most support the “CD-DA Stream Is Accurate” feature, too.
•
Plextor drive (writing): Only a Plextor CD-R or CD-RW drive can be used as
the destination for writing.
•
Internet Access: For connectivity to CDDB Audio Internet Database (Optional)
Supported Plextor drive models are:

CD-ROM drives: Models PX-4XCE, PX-8XCS, or later
•
CD-R/RW drives: Models PX-R412C, PX-R820T, PX-W4220T, or later
NOTE: Plextor Manager 2000 does not support the Plextor MegaPleX jukebox.
