Pleiger Control Loop
Manual version 2018-03
NOTICE
Node state during selftest
During a running selftest the busmaster detects, which nodes are not reachable during
the test. These nodes are signed as offline on the data loop pages.
If any node is detected as offline during power loop test, the selftest will be aborted at the end of the
power loop test. The data loop test will not be executed. The following message is shown:
In case the p
ower loop
test ended successfully the data loop test starts automatically. The following
messages are possible:
10.5.3 Selftest failure analysis
NOTICE
Selftest failure analysis
In case of an error, the first node in the course of the loop
that can’t be reached by the
tested busmaster is marked
as “offline” on the data loop page.
The cause of the disturbance may be the first offline node, the last node before (from
direction of the tested busmaster) or the connection in between.
Example for a
power loop failure
(visible if selftest is finished):
Power loop test is fin-
ished with a failure
Data loop test is fin-
ished with a failure
First offline
node from direc-
tion of the tested
busmaster
A
. Master A polls the nodes
beginning with the lowest num-
ber in the data loop (here
no.9).
First offline
node from direc-
tion of the tested
busmaster B
.
Master B polls the nodes begin-
ning with the highest number in
the data loop (here no.16).
Failure detected in
data loop 1 & 2.
Cause of the dis-
turbance: One of
these two marked
nodes or the con-
nection in be-
tween.

Power loop and data
loop test are finished
without a failure
