PCL-Bus connector (PCL-BC)
PCL-BC is a device that contains a short circuit snooping device like the PCL-PC-modules. It could be
inserted in the bus instead of a PCL-VCI or PCL-IO
(for service) or to be used to “split” the bus e.g. at
bulkheads between fire zones to prevent offline modules in case of short circuits on the bus.
8.1 Technical description PCL-BC
The Pin layout is equal to the PCL-VCI-nodes:

NOTICE
Phase correct wiring of PCL-BC modules
Each PCL-VCI, each PCL-IO, each PCL-PC and each PCL-BC module turns the
phases by 180°. Therefore a PCL-BC has to be counted like a PCL-VCI-node to check
whether the No. of nodes in a power loop is even or odd.
In order to connect both ends of the power loop to the same phases read chapter 7
“PCL-Power Control (PCL-PC)” carefully!
WARNING
Malfunction / Danger if dismounted cards are not replaced by PCL-BC modules
If you dismount a PCL-VCI card without replacing it by a PCL-BC module and there is
another failure on another PCL-VCI card several actuators (PCL-VCI modules) may
drop out!
