5.2 Reading the On Screen Code
Red and amber lights flashing on the screen can tell you what is wrong.
Turning on the On Screen code
With the remote control, press
MONITOR
. You
should see the red or amber lights flashing on the
screen. This also opens the Display Status menu, but
of course, you won’t see it if the lamp is off.
If there is a bright picture, it may be difficult to see
these lights. They are soft, out of focus lights. Move
around to see them.
Or, press
CURTAIN
to make the screen black so they
will be easier to see.
If you see a steady, unblinking, amber light, it
means the lamp is on and there are no alarm condi-
tions. If the screen is black at this time, there are
other reasons for it being black:
• The curtain is on and black.
• The source itself is a black picture.
• There is no source, which turns the screen black.
• There is some foreign object blocking the light
path.
Automatic On Screen code display
If Auto Codes is checked in the Miscellaneous
menu, the code will start showing whenever there is a
fault event that forces the lamp off.
