Error Messages
Problem Remedy
No HDMI audio out p ut. • See Switching the HDMI audio setting on p age 36 to make su r e that AUDIO ON
is selected.
No HDMI video out p ut. • Make su r e that you’ve selected this p laye r as the HDMI in p ut in the settings fo r
the com p onent you’ r e using ( r efe r to the com p onent’s inst r uction manual).
• Check that the HDMI cable is connected pr o p e r ly and isn’t damaged.
• Check that com p onents connected using the HDMI inte r face a r e switched on
and HDMI com p atible (com p onents must be com p atible with both DVI and High
Bandwidth Digital Content P r otection (HDCP)).
• De p ending on the com p onent you have connected, using a DVI connection may
r esult in un r eliable signal t r ansfe r s.
• Make su r e the r esolution on this p laye r matches that of the com p onent you have
connected using HDMI. See Video Output settings on p age 30 to change the HDMI
r esolution.
• If the sc r een goes blank afte r changing the r esolution, it means the you selected
a r esolution incom p atible with you r monito r . See Resetting the HDMI connection
on p age 36 to r eset to the facto r y defaults.

the p ictu r e to be dis p layed inco rr ectly. In this case, use the TV’s own video in p ut
settings to select RGB, if p ossible. Alte r natively, r eve r t to the pr evious
HDMI Color
setting.

while the cu rr ent sou r ce is a multichannel sou r ce.
96K • An o p e r ation is pr ohibited because the sou r ce is 96 kHz digital.
SND.DEMO • The sound demo is on. See General in Troubleshooting on p age 44.
NOISY • Backg r ound noise is too high to com p lete MCACC setu p successfully.
ERR MIC • An e rr o r occu r ed du r ing MCACC setu p because the mic r o p hone is not
connected o r is not connected pr o p e r ly.
