1. Replacement of IC3156

IC3156 is the main EEPROM. When IC3156 is to be mounted on the MD DIGITAL Assy for service,
transmission of backup data is NOT required. Do NOT send backup data.

2. Replacement of IC3161

IC3161 is the EEPROM for backup. When IC3161 is to be mounted on the MD DIGITAL Assy for service,
transmission of backup data is required.
(See "How to back up adjustment data for the main unit (next page)." )

How to replace the EEPROM

Data, such as adjustment data for the module, are stored in the EEPROM on the MD DIGITAL Assy.
When the MD DIGITAL Assy is to be replaced, also replace the part indicated in either 1 or 2 below:
