Loading labels from a roll
Loading a roll
•
Open the cover.
•
Loosen the knurled screw (4) and swivel the guide (5) upwards and push it all the way
out.
•
Load the roll of labels on the media hub in such a way that the labels can be inserted
into the printhead in the correct position. The printing side of the labels must be visible
from above.
•
Unwind a label strip approximately 40 cm in length.
•
Push the roll of labels until it makes contact with the housing wall.
•
Swivel the guide (5) downwards onto the media hub (6) and push it against the roll of
labels so that the roll is braked slightly when unwound.
•
Tighten the knurled screw (4).
Inserting a label strip into
the printhead
•
Turn lever (3) counter clockwise to lift the printhead.
•
Push the setting collar (2) all the way out along the axle.
•
Guide the label strip underneath the axle and through the label edge sensor so that it
exits the print unit between the printhead and the pressure roller.
If a cutter is used, push the leading edge of the label strip as far as or slightly into the
cutter.
•
Slide the setting collar (2) along the axle toward the outer edge of the label strip.

For adjustments and easy installation, use the
hexagonal wrench
(1) provided, which
is located in the bottom section of the print unit. No other tools are required for the work
described here.
