34 Mortar hoses
34.1 Preparing the mortar hoses
Fig. 55: Connecting the mortar hose
1. Connect the required mortar hoses to the pressure flange.
34.2 Turning the step switch pump to manual operation
Fig. 56: Step switch
1. Turn step switch (1) to stage 3 “Pump manual”.
2. Press the green pushbutton (2) to switch the control
voltage “ON”.
3. Pump the water from the pump container.
NOTE!
Never allow the pump to run dry, since this will
shorten its service life.
4. Uncouple the mortar hoses from the pressure flange and empty
them completely of water.
34.3 Draining residual water from the pump tank
Fig. 57: Opening the cleaning nozzles
Fig. 58: Connecting the mortar hose
1. Open the cleaning nozzle and drain off residual water from
the pump container.
2. Pre-lubricate mortar hoses with approx. 2 litres of wallpaper
paste and connect them to the pressure flange again.
3. The wallpaper paste is pumped through the mortar hose
with the first mixture.
4. Lay material hoses with a radius large enough so that
the hoses do not kink.
5. Carefully secure risers so that they do not tear away from their
own weight.
NOTE!
Make sure the couplings are clean and connected
properly, and do not leak. Dirty couplings and
rubber seals are leaky and allow water under
pressure to escape, which inevitably leads to
blockages.
