Replacing the Button Cell for the
Real-time Clock (RTC)
The real-time clock (RTC) integrated in the PCAN-Router Pro is
supplied by a button cell of the IEC type CR1620 (3 V), as long as the
device is turned off (without voltage supply or in power-down
mode).
Do the following to replace the button cell:
Attention!
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage or destroy
components on the circuit board of the PCAN-Router Pro. Take
precautions to avoid ESD when handling the circuit board.
1.
Disconnect power supply.
2.
Unscrew the four screws along the top edges of the housing
on the front and back of the device.
3.
Remove the housing cover.
4.
Carefully remove the button cell from the holder.
5.
Insert the new button cell.
