Mullion Mounting
The
touch io
reader can be mounted to a mullion (such as a metal door frame) or any suitable flat surface in
close proximity to the door. The mullion-mounted
touch io
reader can be installed as a new device, or it can
replace an existing reader. Depending on the mounting location, new hardware may be necessary.
These instructions assume no previous mounting hardware exists; your situation may be different.
Installation instructions are also included in the
touch io
reader package. Perform the following steps to
mount the
touch io
.
1. Identify a suitable location for mounting with the proper power supply.
2. Mark the location on the mullion or wall for both mounting screws and a hole between them large
enough to accommodate the controller and reader wiring that will be fed through that opening.
