5.5.2 Preparing the scale for the firmware update

You must connect the AccuCount II scale to a PC using the USB Type-A to USB
Type-B cable that is provided with your scale before you can update the firmware on
the scale.

To prepare the scale for the firmware update

Connect the AccuCount II scale to the PC using the included USB cable.

The Type B (square) connector plugs into the back of the scale, and the Type A (wide) connects
to the PC.

Power on the AccuCount II scale.

NOTE

Ensure that the Interface RJ45 character set is set to ASCII (see “Interface RJ45” on
page 4-24).
