Connection of base metal voltage detection line
●
Position and switching method of base metal voltage detection line
This welding power supply reserves the base metal voltage detection terminal. If you need to use this terminal,
please switch the power connector terminal. The location of the connector is shown in the figure below.
Note:
a.
When leaving the factory, it is on the [NORM] side, that is, the connector [AB1] and [A1] are connected;
b.
On the [EXT] side, the connector [AB1] and [B1] are connected; if the base metal detection line is not connected, the
contact tip will burn.
●
Connection method of base metal voltage detection line
Use the base metal voltage detection line to connect one end of the power base metal voltage detection
terminal and the other end to the base metal. Please contact the agent of our company to purchase the base metal
voltage detection cable, the model is: YRYY4X500SS, if you prepare by yourself, please use an insulated cable
above 0.75mm

The inner area (circle) of the dotted
line should be as small as possible
●
Please follow the diagram above to route the base metal voltage
detection line to reduce the influence of magnetic induction interference.
●
In order to avoid interference, please separate the base metal cable and
base metal voltage detection line with a distance of more than 200mm.
●
Make sure that the base metal voltage detection line is the shortest. If
there is any remaining part, please cut it to a suitable length
●
If the wire feeder cable, welding torch cable, and base metal voltage
detection wire have a large circle, the arc will be unstable (increased
spatter) due to magnetic induction interference, so please minimize the
area within the dotted line in the above figure.
