Off:
No disc inside
Steady Green: Disc inserted in the drive
Steady Orange: Recording, playback or tray
opening/closing

Manual eject hole
Used to manually eject the tray in the event it
doesn’t eject normally using the open/close
button or software commands.
Use this procedure as a last resort as it
can cause malfunction.
Pulling out the tray
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Insert the emergency ejection pin (in-
cluded) 4 or 5 times.
3. Remove the emergency ejection pin.
4. Open the shutter by hand.
5. Pull the tray out horizontally.
To close the tray
1. Turn on the computer.
2. Press the open/close button.
The tray may close automatically when you
turn the computer on.

AUDIO output connector
For connecting the internal audio cable (in-
cluded).
Jumper connector
For setting the drive’s Master and Slave (See
page 30).
IDE connector
For connecting the internal IDE cable (not in-
cluded).
Power supply connector
For connecting the power cable from com-
puter.
Unassigned connector
Side panels
When securing this drive to a computer or other
device, secure the drive with the provided mount-
ing screws into the areas as indicated (either
upper or lower holes depending on your system).
You can also use the four holes on the bottom to
secure the drive.
