Line Replacement
1. Align the hole in Carrier Plate with the hole in the
Carrier Plate Cover and insert the 4mm hex key. While
holding the hex key, screw the Line Spool onto the
spindle thread, turning
clockwise
(left-hand thread) to
remove. Remove the hex key.
2. Press on the side of the spool cover, at the tab (a) in
order to turn and remove the top half (b) of the spool
housing.
3. Take the spool out of the line
spool housing and remove any
remaining cutting line.
4. Form each of the 2 cutting lines into a hook and hang
into the eyelet in the spool plate. The 2 lines must be
hung in so that they are offset by 180°.
5. Wind the line onto the spool
counter-clockwise
and
under tension. The spool splitter will separate the two
halves of the nylon line.
6. Hook the last 15cm of the two ends of the line onto the
opposite lying line holders of the spool plate.
WARNING!
BEFORE CLEANING OR CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE
PROCEDURE, MAKE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IS OFF AND IS COOL.
DISCONNECT THE SPARK PLUG TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STARTING.
