6. HARNES

Fitting the Harness

1. Fit the harness so that the shoulder pads sit on

the shoulders and the plate hangs down at the

waste.

2. Hook the unit to the

harness.

3. In order to establish the optimum length of the

harness, you should then make a few swinging

movements without starting the engine. Using

the various strap adjusters on the harness,

make adjustments until you achieve the most

comfortable working and cutting position.

4. The harness is fitted with a quick-release

mechanism. Pull the strap if you need to put

down the unit quickly.

ALWAYS USE THE HARNESS WHEN WORKING WITH THE

UNIT. ATTACH THE STRAP AS SOON AS YOU HAVE STARTED THE ENGINE

AND IT IS RUNNING IN IDLE MODE. SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE BEFORE

YOU TAKE OFF THE HARNESS.
