Reset Ribbon Count
The printer has a selectable replace ribbon option that notifies you when it
is time to change the ribbon. If the option is:

The message Replace Ribbon/Press On Line is displayed
after a set number of lines have been printed. When ON
LINE is pressed, the ribbon count is automatically reset and
the cycle begins over.
If you change the ribbon at a time other than when
prompted, manually reset the ribbon count according to
Ribbon Menu, Page 35.

You can reset ribbon count if you desire to monitor line
count. Ribbon count reset must be performed manually. To
do this, refer to Ribbon Menu, Page 35.
REPLACING A PRINTHEAD
Warning:
Printheads may be HOT! Allow printheads to cool
before attempting to replace them.
Note: Each printhead contains 21 vertical pins and prints two lines at a
time. A dot missing from a portion of every other line designates
either a failed printhead or driver electronics.
1. Remove installed ribbon cartridge. Follow instructions in Replacing the
Ribbon, Page 40.
2. Disconnect ribbon cables from printheads being replaced. Refer to the
following illustrations.
