5. Press cartridge into position.
6. As it begins to engage the spindle (ribbon drive motor shaft), slowly
turn the ribbon spool knob to align the cartridge and spindle.
Caution: Forcing the ribbon cartridge on a misaligned spindle
may cause the ribbon cartridge to fail.
7. Untape the yellow ribbon guide hanger from the cartridge (leaving
ribbon guides taped to it).
8. Use the ribbon guide hanger to slide all ribbon guides onto their shafts.
9. Remove/discard the ribbon guide hanger (usually blue or yellow) and
individually press/snap each ribbon guide into position.
10. Remove/discard the ribbon dam (usually a blue or red bar) on the
cartridge.
11. Remove ribbon slack by turning the ribbon spool konb as indicated on
the cartridge.
