This needle does
not begin
to swing independently
when it is subjected with
compressed air. It does not
possess a natural frequen-
cy, but is brought to swin-
ging within the range of 20 -
150 Hz by a high-speed
switching valve.
By the free adjustment of
the needle parameters the
operating point, stroke and
point density of the needle
can be affected. With WP
needles substantially larger
needle strokes can be
obtained than with WE
needles.

The needle tip is brought to
independent swinging by
compressed air. The fre-
quency amounts to approx.
150 Hz (depending on the
pressure and work distance
x). Thus material in the
workpiece is compressed
and/or displaced.
This coining tool is charac-
terised by a large stroke and
diameter. It is suitable in
particular for deep mar-
kings.
