Dispatcher Activities

Click the Continue button to navigate to the Assignment Assistant main screen.

To improve the KPI goals and better user experience, we recommend that you configure the vist functionality. This helps
save the travel time and mileage and achieve improved utilization of resources.

Assign an Activity from the Assignment Assistant History Page

If you have moved at least one activity in the current session, you can see the History page. Use History as a quick
access page to assign activities to the same resource several times. The page contains a list of technicians and buckets,
and is sorted by the time of move, with the last moved activity on the top. For each resource you can see the route
impact, activity date, and the number of activities moved. You may see some resources listed multiple times. For
example, let’s say you have moved activities to a resource twice, for different dates. Then, the resource is listed twice.

From the list of resources, determine the resource and the date for which you want to assign the activity.

2.

Click Assign.

The number of activities moved to the resource for the selected date changes. If there are warnings to move the
activity to a resource, the date is displayed in red.

3.

Click the details icon and review the route details of the resource.

Move Activity Warning Messages

This topic describes the warning messages that you would encounter while moving activities.

Linked activity warnings

The warnings related to linked activities are as follows:

•

Has successor scheduled earlier: This warning appears for a pending activity linked to another activity that
must be started after, but is scheduled before its estimated completion.

•

Has predecessor scheduled later: This warning appears for a pending activity linked to another activity that
must be finished before, but is scheduled after its estimated start.

•

Has simultaneous activity: This warning appears for a pending activity linked to another activity that must be
started simultaneously, but is scheduled to a different time.

Overtime alert: This alert notifies you that the estimated completion time of the activity extends beyond the end of a
resource’s working day.
