Section 6 Maintenance
The PV200Terminal is designed for years of trouble-free use. For maximum service life, it is recommended
that the maintenance items that follow be done at regular intervals.
Cabinet and Door
Wipe down terminals with warm water, mild detergent (dish soap) and a non-abrasive cloth. To protect the
finish of the Terminal cabinet and pedestal, a commercially available car wax can be applied.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT use a power washer or hose to rinse off the system!
Lexan Display Cover and Weathershield
Do not use petroleum-based cleaners or harsh detergents to clean the Lexan display Cover or
Weathershield.
Keypad
Wipe down the keypad with warm water, mild detergent (dish soap) and a non-abrasive cloth. A damaged
keypad should be replaced.
Door Locks
Lubricate door locks every six months, or as needed. Use graphite or molybdenum disulfide ("Moly-B") dry
lubricant. Do not apply too much lubricant.
Card Readers

Magnetic Card Readers
: Magnetic card readers contain magnetic heads that should be cleaned
periodically. This will help to prevent bad reads.

ChipKey Readers
: A ChipKey reader is a non-maintenance device. Use multiple ChipKeys to make
sure the device works correctly when problems occur. Replace the reader if necessary.

Proximity Card Readers
: A Proximity reader is a non-maintenance device. Use multiple Proximity
Cards to make sure the device works correctly when problems occur. Replace the reader if necessary.
Receipt Printer
Examine and replace the paper supply if necessary. Make sure the printer works correctly on a regular
schedule.
Heaters
Make sure the heater(s) work correctly during periods of cold weather. Refer to the
for information on the heater operation temperatures.
