convenience, adjusting stigmator can operate as follows: move the mouse on
collected image, press right button and drag. Dragging in horizontal direction can change X value,
dragging in vertical direction can change Y value.

Operation of the Specimen Stage
5.5.1.
Precautions

The position of specimen should not be too high, otherwise, it will touch bottom pole piece
and damage it.
❖
If the position of specimen is high, it should not be too large. Otherwise, it may touch electron
detector.
5.5.2.
Operation of specimen stage (standard specimen stage)

The standard specimen stage is applied to standard chamber. The range of movement is as
follows:
Horizontal X = Y =50mm ;
Vertical Z =25mm
Tilt= -5

Rotation = 360

Movement in X-direction: Rotate the knob X in the stage can move the specimen holder in X
direction. The movement amount of specimen in X direction is 0-25mm.

Movement in Y-direction: Rotate the knob Y in the stage can move the specimen holder in Y
direction. The movement amount of specimen in Y direction is 0-25mm.
❖
Movement in Z-direction: Rotate the knob Z in the stage can move the specimen holder in Z
direction. The movement in Z direction is called Working distance (WD), which can be
displayed in the control panel of software.
