16.5.1.1. Exchange HDD
This DVR supports Hot Swap function and HDD removable and installation without power off.
(1) Press the button (

) and pull the handle (

)to remove the hard disk rag.
(2) Install a new hard disk at the rag and hold the handle (

) to push and install.
(3) Access to disk manager and select the HDD installed. Go to action and press Add and Apply.
(4) Exit from the menu after configuration and check if every set up is saved normally. The front LED
blinks green for the users to check if it works normally and the LED of the HDD that is not saving
data is lighting in red.
<Note>
1. After exchanging HDD as above and access to the disk manager, the previous HDD remins at list. If
the user select a HDD to delete at the Action menu and execute “Confirm Removed” this disk is
deleted.
2. If the user tries to use a second hand HDD ran on PC or other devices for DVR, he needs to delete
thepartition of the HDD. Go to control panel- management tool- computer management- storage- disk
management menu.
