8.5 Dismantling the end device from the NRH spring arm
(See "Figure 13")
Follow the safety instructions
Follow the general safety instructions prescribed in
“Chapter 8.1” on page 80
.
1. Check whether the end device (e.g. OR lamp) on the NRH spring arm
5
can be
rotated more than 360degrees.
2. If this is the case, an internal 3- or 5-pole plug coupling
5
,
7
has been mounted
and the end device (e.g. OR lamp) may be dismantled by you as a technician
authorised by the operator.
Sudden release of spring arm
The NRH spring arm
5
contains a powerful spring. When the end device
(e.g. OR lamp) is dismantled, the spring arm can suddenly jump up and
may cause serious injury:
• Before removing the end device (e.g. OR lamp), make sure that the
vertical lift of the NRH spring arm
5
as described in
“Chapter 9.4.2” on
page 100
is restricted to the lowermost end stop (horizontal position).
3. Restrict the NRH spring arm
5
to the horizontal position as described in
“Chapter
9.4.2” on page 100
.
➥
It must no longer be possible to move the NRH spring arm
5
upwards beyond the
horizontal position.
Dismantling the brake and sleeve securing screws
4. Turn the fitting aperture
3
of the sleeve
1
downwards.
5. Unscrew the brake screw
6
at the bottom of the sleeve
1
.
6. Rotate the sleeve
1
90 degrees and unscrew the first end device securing
screw
2
.
7. Rotate the sleeve
1
180 degrees and unscrew the second end device securing
screw
2
.
NOTE – Different plug couplings
Depending on the version of the end device (e.g. OR lamp), the NRH spring arm
5
is equipped with a 3-pole
5
or 5-pole plug coupling
7
.
8. Carefully remove the end device (e.g. OR lamp) from the NRH spring arm
5
,
keeping it precisely axially aligned.
9. Turn the fitting aperture
3
of the sleeve
1
downwards.
10. Screw in the brake screw
6
at the bottom of the sleeve
1
.
11. Rotate the sleeve
1
90 degrees and screw in the first end device securing screw
2
.
12. Rotate the sleeve
1
180 degrees and screw in the second end device securing
screw
2
.
Marking
If you do not mount another end device (e.g. OR lamp) directly after dismantling, the plug
coupling in the NRH spring arm
5
is energised whilst the mains supply is switched on.
1. Mark the mains supply in the room with a warning sign:
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD – DO NOT SWITCH ON THE POWER SUPPLY!
2. Mount the end device (e.g. OR lamp) later as described in
“Chapter 8.6” on page 89
.
