This guide describes procedures for connecting a Hilscher netTAP NT 100 Gateway Device 

(NT 100-RE-DN, hereinafter referred to as the "netTAP") to an OMRON NJ/NX-series 

Machine Automation Controller (hereinafter referred to as the "Controller") via EtherNet/IP 

and for checking their communication status.     

Refer to 

Section 6. EtherNet/IP Settings 

and 

Section 7. EtherNet/IP Connection Procedure 

to 

understand setting methods and key points to operate EtherNet/IP tag data links.   

The DeviceNet Slave (made up of DRT2-OD16 and XWT-ID16) produced by OMRON is used 

in this guide as an example of a connected device via DeviceNet, in order to operate the 

netTAP.
