The startup screen of
SYCON.net is displayed.
The default layout of the screen
is as shown in the figure on the
right.
In this guide, each window
displayed on the screen is
named as follows:
- Left: Project Window
- Middle: Configuration Window
- Right: Device Catalog
- Bottom: Output Window

To create a new project, select
New
from the File Menu.

Use the following way to import
the EDS for DeviceNet Slave.
Select
Import Device
Descriptions
from the Network
Menu while the Project Window,
Configuration Window or Device
Catalog is focused.
*The Network Menu cannot be
displayed on the menu bar
while the Output Window is
focused.

The Import Device Description
Dialog Box is displayed allowing
you to select the EDS.
Open the folder in which the
EDS is stored, and select
DeviceNet EDS (*.eds)
as the
files of type.
The EDS file list is displayed.
Select the EDS for DeviceNet
Slave and click
Open
.

DRT2-OD16+XWT-ID16.eds
is
selected in this guide.
The EDS files for DeviceNet Slaves (only OMRON
products) are stored in the folder "
CX-One CX-Integrator
Eds
" inside the main folder “
OMRON
” where Sysmac
Studio is installed.
