Overview
Most DBK card and module options provide for channel expansion and signal conditioning; however,
some serve as power supplies, and others are no more than interfaces that allow the user to meet desired
connection needs, for example, the use of BNC connectors.
For proper operation with DaqBook or DaqBoard systems, most of the DBK options must be configured,
both physically on the DBK, and in the data acquisition application.
All DBK configuration-related parameters can be found in the
DaqView
’s
Configure System Hardware
screen. “Analog Input” type DBKs will be under the P1 section of the screen, “Digital Input” DBKs will
be under the P2 section, and analog and digital outputs [if applicable] will be under P3.
The following table, in addition to providing a brief description of DBK options, can be used to quickly
identify whether the DBK option is of the P1-Analog or of the P2-Digital type.
DBKs that require no
software setup in DaqView are shown in a shaded row and display the comment “No configuration
in DaqView.”
