1.5 Intended use
The pellet fireplace is intended for indoor use and may only be oper-
ated in enclosed spaces. The place of installation and chimney duct
must comply with the technical and local requirements and provi-
sions! Any use other than that described in this manual is consid-
ered to be misuse and is improper use. Modifications, attachments
or conversions which are made without written approval from
Olsberg may result in damage and risks. This is not permitted and
results in invalidation of the warranty!

1.7 Warnings and safety information
Warning! Very serious personal injury, environmental and
property damage owing to risk of explosion and fire, as well
as owing to heat exposure! Non-compliance results in
immediate and serious personal injury or death!
●
Ensure that there is a sufficient distance between the
pellet fireplace (incl. chimney flue) and curtains, car-
pets, upholstered furniture and other flammable
materials!
●
Installation on and by flammable materials is not
permitted!
●
Observe the specified minimum distances during instal-
lation and use of the pellet fireplace!
●
Never use flammable liquids such as petrol, lamp oils si-
milar to petrol, petroleum, firelighters, or similar liquids
to kindle or “reignite” a fire! And make sure that such li-
quids are a sufficient distance away from the pellet fire-
place during operation!
●
Do not use the pellet fireplace if the door seals are
damaged!
●
Do not install the pellet fireplace together with a venti-
lation system which generates a vacuum of (≥ 8 Pa) (seal
up to 8 Pa in accordance with DIBt approval).
●
Take care to ensure safe operation, particularly in adverse
feed pressure conditions or bad weather.
Caution! Risk of serious personal injury and/or
environmental damage!
●
Please note that parts of the surface of the pellet firepla-
ce, as well as handles, operating levers or locks, get very
hot! Only touch these parts with suitable protection.
●
you should also take care to ensure that you are not in
the direct radiation range of the pellet fireplace and do
not touch hot surfaces with clothing when using the
touch control panel.
●
The pellet fireplace may only be fired with pellets which
comply with DIN EN 14961-2 and the DIN-plus certification
programme or the Austrian standard M 7135 (max. diame-
ter 6 mm; max. length 30 mm; max. moisture 10%)!
●
Pellets must be stored in a dry and dust-free place.
●
Instruct children or people with reduced mental capabili-
ties in dealing with hot surfaces in order to prevent a risk
of burns!
●
Dispose of the packaging remains immediately! (Risk of
suffocation if swallowed by small children)!
Attention! Product and property damage!
●
Observe the maintenance information!
●
Clean the pellet fireplace regularly and observe the
cleaning instructions in order to prevent damage to or pre-
mature ageing of the pellet fireplace!
Note! The pellet fireplace has general type approval from
the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (German Institute for
Construction Engineering, DIBt) for balanced flue operation.
