1 General and safety information
1.1 General provisions
Installation of the pellet fireplace and the chimney duct may only
be carried out by a qualified specialist company in compliance with
national and international standards, norms and applicable regu-
lations. The country-specific regulations must be observed for safe
installation of the connector.
1.2 I nformation concerning the installation instruc-
tions/operating manual
These Olsberg installation instructions and operating manual are
part of the Olsberg pellet fireplace and must be kept in a safe place
in the place of use. The pellet fireplace is not considered to be
complete without this manual. The manual must be handed over
to the operator of the pellet fireplace together with all other docu-
ments following successful installation. The description of the
installation and maintenance is only intended for trained and
qualified specialist personnel. The instructions for operation
and care are intended for the user/operator of the pellet fire-
place.
The following images and illustrations may differ from the actual
conditions and are only intended as a principle representation.
1.3 Target audiences
Trained specialist personnel: read these instructions carefully
before installation or specialist maintenance! Observe the safety
provisions and the local building regulations. Instruct the operator
in the functioning of the pellet fireplace and the associated risks!
User/operator of the system:
read the following chapters carefully:
“1 General”, “3 Operation” and “4 Care”. Observe the safety informa-
tion! Proper handling and care are essential for fault-free opera-
tion and a long service life. Children aged 8 and older and people
with reduced physical, sensory or cognitive capabilities or a lack of
experience and/or knowledge may only operate the pellet fireplace
subject to supervision or if they have been trained in the safe use of
the pellet fireplace and have understood the resulting risks. Children
may not play with the pellet fireplace. Cleaning and user mainte-
nance may not be carried out by children without supervision!
1.4 Warranty and liability
Warranty and liability claims for personal injury and property
damage are excluded if they can be attributed to one or more of the
following causes:
ū Improper use,
ū Failure to observe the manual,
ū Operation without functional safety devices/guards,
ū Continued use following the occurrence of a defect,
ū Improper installation, commissioning, operation and
maintenance,
ū Repairs which have been improperly carried out,
ū Defects in the supply lines!
Note! Applicable documents!
Further documents are relevant with this operating manual
and installation instructions and must be taken into consid-
eration. Always observe all documents which are part of the
scope of delivery!
