Chapter 3 Maintenance
3.2.13 Ribbon Feed Assembly
1. Remove the upper cover assembly
(3.2.04
).
2. Remove the printer mechanism
(3.2.08
).
3. Remove the left shoulder screw [color] (1A) and right should screw [color] (1B).
4. Detach the cartridge bracket (2).
5. Remove the two mounting screws (3).
6. Detach the ribbon feed assembly (4).
NOTE:
When assembling, install the ribbon drive assembly so that the gear teeth contact properly (5). The gears
must not bind together.
The ribbon cartridge balance spring is NOT shown. Refer to Appendix B of this Service Handbook for
further information.
