Making the Copy Settings
Manual Feed Copying
Use the Manual Feed Copying mode when making copies onto irregular sizes of
paper or heavy paper that cannot be loaded into a drawer or onto paper which is not
currently set in the drawers. In the Manual Feed Copying mode, copy paper is fed
from the Stack Bypass on the right side of the copier main unit.

Open the slide guides of the Stack
Bypass.

Place the paper in the Stack
Bypass.
The screen to select the paper size is automatically
displayed.

Adjust the slide guides to fit the
paper size.

Be sure to fit the slide guides to
the paper size as failure to do so
will cause the paper to feed at a
slant resulting in a paper jam.
❚
Be sure to set an amount of paper
not exceeding the loading limit
position indicated on the Stack
Bypass.

The following types of copy paper
can be loaded into the Stack
Bypass.
·Paper size:
12”x18” to LTR
·Paper weight: 17-lb bond to 110-lb
index (64 g/m

to
209 g/m
2
)

To place paper 11”x17”, LGL, LTRR
size in the Stack Bypass, pull out the
auxiliary tray.
❚
If the paper is curled, be sure to
uncurl it before loading it in the
Stack Bypass.
❚
Sizes that end in “R,” such as
LTRR, etc. indicate the
corresponding paper size, but
with a horizontal orientation.
