Chapter 2 Installation guidelines

Installing Symposium TAPI SP software

To install Symposium TAPI SP on the TAPI server, perform the following tasks:

Log on to the TAPI server.

Insert the Symposium TAPI Service Provider CD into the CD drive.

The Setup program automatically launches the wizard-driven installation
application. If not,

•

Select “Start ->Run”.

•

Type X:\setup.exe, where X is the CD drive.

•

Click OK to start the wizard-driven installation application.

The installation application issues the following notification if it detects a
previous release of Symposium TAPI SP . If this occurs, refer to

Chapter 5,

“Upgrading Symposium TAPI SP,” on page 117

, for further information.

Note:

Before you install Symposium TAPI SP, close any TAPI

application running on the server or client.
