snmp-server community command
With the
snmp-server community
command, you can create community
strings with varying levels of read, write, and notification access based on
SNMPv3 views. These community strings are separate from those created
by using the
snmp-server community
command for read/write.
This command affects community strings stored in the SNMPv3
snmpCommunityTable, which allows several community strings to be
created. These community strings can have any MIB view.
The syntax for the
snmp-server community
command is:
snmp-server community <community-string>
{read-view <view-name>|write-view <view-name>|
notify-view <view-name>}
The
snmp-server community
command is executed in the Global
Configuration command mode.

Enter a community string to be created with access to
the specified views.
ATTENTION
This parameter is not available when Password
Security is enabled, in which case, the switch
prompts you to enter and confirm the new
community string.
