2.10 Laser Radiation
WARNING!
If the system is equipped with a Class 2 laser height sensor, the following safety
precautions must be observed in addition to the basic system safety precautions:
•
Operate the laser height sensor in accordance with
the operator’s manual included with the equipment.
Failure to do so may result in injury due to exposure
to the laser beam.
•
DO NOT disassemble the sensor head. Laser
emission from the height sensor is not automatically
stopped if the sensor head is disassembled.
•
DO NOT look directly at the laser beam or its
reflection.
•
Wear protective goggles when using the laser height
sensor.
•
Check the laser beam path. DO NOT install the
height sensor in such a way that the laser beam
passes at eye level.
•
DO NOT open the hatch while the laser is on.

NOTE
The laser beam is not harmful to the skin so there is no danger in exposing arms or hands
to the beam.
