Heater Cartridge
See Figure 16 and use the following procedure to replace
a heater cartridge.
1. Make sure that electrical power is disconnected from
the SDS meter.
2. Remove the screws (8) securing the cover (7) to the
cordset body (2).
3. Perform the following:
a. Remove the applicable wire connectors (10) from
the cordset body (2).
b. Remove the covers from the wire connectors (10)
to gain access to the set screws (3). Loosen the
set screws and remove the heater cartridge
wires (9).
4. Remove the screws (12) securing the bottom
cover (13) to the SDS meter (1).
5. Remove the heater cartridge (11) from the
SDS meter (1).
6. Install the heater cartridge (11) into the
SDS meter (1).
NOTE
Review the wiring diagrams in Figure 16 before
connecting the new heater cartridge wires.
7. Perform the following:
a. Insert the new heater cartridge wires (9) into the
wire connectors (10). Tighten the set screws (3).
Install the covers onto the wire connectors.
b. Insert the wire connectors (10) into the cordset
body (2).
8. Install the cover (7) onto the cordset body (2) using
the screws (8). Tighten the screws securely.
9. Install the bottom cover (13) using the screws (12).
Tighten the screws securely.
RTD
See Figure 16 and use the following procedure to replace
the RTD.
1. Make sure that electrical power is disconnected from
the SDS meter.
2. Remove the screws (8) securing the cover (7) to the
cordset body (2).
3. Remove the wire connector (5) from the cordset
body (2). Loosen the set screws (4) and remove the
RTD wires (6).
4. Remove the screws (12) securing the bottom
cover (13) to the SDS meter (1).
5. Remove the RTD (14) from the SDS meter (1).
6. Install the RTD (14) into the SDS meter (1).
7. Insert the new RTD wires (6) into the wire
connector (5) and tighten the set screws (4).
8. Insert the wire connector (5) into the cordset
body (2).
9. Install the cover (7) onto the cordset body (2) using
the screws (8). Tighten the screws securely.
10. Install the cover (12) using the screws (13). Tighten
the screws securely.
