Ball Screw Assembly
Use the following procedure to replace the ball screw
assembly.
Remove the Ball Screw Assembly
1. See Figure 9. Disconnect the electrical
connectors (6) from the J-box or extension cables.
2. Loosen the belt-tension screw (8) and the motor plate
screws (7A, 7B).
3. Remove the screws (1) securing the cover (2) to the
bearing housing (4).
4. Remove the screws (3) securing the bearing
housing (4) to the belt housing (5).

5. See Figure 10. Remove the nut (5) securing the
anti-rotation block (4) to the ball screw assembly.
6. Remove the screws (1) securing the anti-rotation
cap (2) and shock absorbers (3) to the ball screw
assembly.
7. Remove the screws (10) securing the ball screw (9)
to the bearing assembly (6).
8. Remove the ball screw assembly. Save the key (8).
9. Remove the sprocket (7) from the ball screw
assembly.
10. If necessary, remove the set screw (11) and toggle
pad nut (12) from the ball screw (9).
