If the storage pool did not have an available spare, the new disk is “resilvered” and built into the storage pool
(see
Identifying failed disk drives
on page 11). Resilvering can take several hours to several days.
When all failure conditions are addressed (the disk is replaced, resilvering is complete, and the storage pool is
operating normally), the Event Viewer indicates this.
Note
In some cases, the storage pool error (see
Identifying failed disk drives
on page 11) is not automatically
cleared when the resilvering process is complete. In such cases, perform the following procedure:

To clear the storage pool error after disk resilvering is complete:
1. On the
Unity navigation bar
, select
Storage > Storage Pools
.
2. Click the link to the pool that displays the error.
3. Check the
Attempt to clear error state
check box and click
OK
.
