Task # 13:
Clean the Ozone Generator Internals
Turn the Power Switch to the “Off” position and open the ozone
generator door until the latches catch to keep the door open.
Warning! Ensure the ozone generator power is off before proceeding.
Note:
The Power Switch and Door Safety Switch will cut power to the ozone
generator. If the power is not off after opening the door, close the door and
contact PurWater.
Do NOT reach into the generator while the power is on!!
With a clean rag or paper towel dampened with a grease-cutting
cleaner (Fantastic, 409, etc.) clean the following components:
o
The transformer voltage posts, making sure to get into all the
recesses.
o
The high voltage wire and insulating boots between the
transformers and ozone cells.
o
The ends caps of each ozone cell.
o
The cooling and exhaust fan blades and fan housing.
o
The internal surfaces of the cabinet, including the front cover.
Wipe away any cleaning solution residue with a damp rag or paper
towel.
Thoroughly dry all components.
Once the internal components are thoroughly clean and dry, close
the door of the ozone cabinet.
Turn the Power Switch to the “On” position and check the settings to
ensure the system re-starts.
Task # 14:
Clean the Mazzei Eductor
Turn the Hand/Off/Auto switch to the “Hand” position. This will put
the system in By-Pass mode so that the wash does not need to
be closed.
Remove the Mazzei eductor from its unions.
Visually inspect both the Venturi throat and the nozzle / ball check
valve assembly. Clean if necessary and replace the check valve
components.
Note:
When removing the cap from the Mazzei Eductor nozzle/ball check
assembly be careful not to lose the plastic seat, ball and spring. The spring is
compressed and may have enough force to launch the plastic seat, ball, and
spring free from the Mazzei body when the nozzle cap is removed.
Replace the Mazzei Eductor and ensure that the inlet end (marked
on the body) is pointed up.
