Task # 11:
Inspect the Ozone Generator Internals.
Turn the Power Switch to the “Off” position. Loosen the door
fasteners and open the ozone generator door until it catches on the
latches to remain open.
Note:
The Power Switch and Door Safety Switch will cut power to the ozone
generator. If the power is not off after opening the door, close the door and
contact Pur-Water.
Do NOT reach into the generator while the power is on!!
Look for any dirty build-up on the ozone cells (especially along the
end caps), the transformer lead wires, the fan blades, and the
cabinet. If a build-up is present, clean the interior. (See
Quarterly
section.)
Look for any burn marks (sooty or blackened areas) on the ozone
cell end caps, the transformer leads, and the cabinet. If found, do
not re-start the ozone generator and contact PurWater for
assistance.
Inspect the transformers to see if they are bulging or leaking oil. If
bulging or leaking, do not re-start the ozone generator and contact
Pur-Water for assistance.
Look at the internal tubing for any discoloration. If found, do no re-
start the ozone generator and contact PurWater for assistance.
Check the tubing fittings to ensure they are tight.
To close the door, lift the door up until the latch releases and
