Message Settings
Messaging settings provide the global settings for messages and Emails.
*
Press MENU (Main) , 1, 7, and 4 to display the Msg settings screen.
Highlight and select an option to display the next setting sub-menu.
Sending a Message
This option allows you to set the message expiry and receipt options for messages sent from your wireless phone.
To establish message expiry from within the Msg settings screen,

Press 1 and 1 .
Highlight and select the expiration option.
Press
CLR
to return to the Sending menu.
To set message receipt options from within the Msg settings screen,

Press 1 and 2 .
Highlight and select either Read receipt (for MMS only) or Delivery report (for SMS and MMS only) to request a receipt when your message has been read or
delivered.
Press CLR until you return to the Msg settings menu.
Receiving a Message
To establish message receiving frequency (for MMS only) from within the Msg settings screen,

Input the appropriate number within the Receiving settings option:
(1) Frequency Select to download messages immediately, to always defer (ask you) if you want to receive the message, or select to defer if the message size
exceeds a certain size (1KB, 10KB, or 50KB).
(2) Roaming Select to download messages while roaming immediately, to always defer if you want to receive the message, or select to defer if the message
size exceeds a certain size (1KB, 10KB, or 50KB).
(3) Receipts Select to either Read receipt (for MMS only) or Delivery report (for SMS and MMS only) to acknowledge a receipt when you have read or
received a message.
Press CLR until you return to the Msg settings menu.
