11-22  Upgrading Your Server

Installation

Install a CPU in the following procedure.

 

1. 

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

 

2. 

Remove the duct cover.

 

3. 

Push the socket lever down to unlatch the socket from the hook, then slowly open the
lever until it stops.

 

4. 

Lift the load plate.

 

5. 

Remove the protective cover from the socket.
