Boot device order is forcedly changed

Boot device order will be changed if the boot device is disconnected or new boot device is
connected.
If the boot device is disconnected or new boot device is connected, change boot device order in
Boot
menu of BIOS settings.

Unable to access the (internal or external) SCSI devices
Is the SCSI device supported for use with the server?
→
Operation of any SCSI device that is not authorized by NEC is not supported.
Are the optional SCSI controllers properly configured?
→
If the optional SCSI controller board is installed and connecting SCSI devices, use the BIOS Setup
Utility of the controller to configure the SCSI devices correctly. For details, refer to the manual that
comes with the optional SCSI controller board.
Are SCSI devices settings correct?

If the server connects to external SCSI devices, SCSI ID and SCSI terminator need to be
configured. For details, refer to the manual that comes with the SCSI devices.

When N8403-034/034F is used, the names of the Fibre Channel controllers appear with different
names on Device Manager
→
When N8403-034/034F is used on Windows, a different controller name may be displayed per
controller in Device Manager. It is not a problem in operating the system.
To display the correct controller name, please perform the following.
Start command prompt and run the following file in the system drive (usually, drive C:).
C:\Program Files(x86)\EXPRESSBUILDER\repository\005\win\winnt\drivers
\01_storage\1_ao_03\friendlyname.exe
If the above path does not exist, run the following file in the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD.
\005\win\winnt\drivers\01_storage\1_ao_03\friendlyname.exe
