How to Use Hold/Forward

This section describes how to hold an extension or an
outside line and forward the call to other person.
There are two ways to place call on hold.
• Hold
The held call can be answered by any phone within
the group.
• Exclusive hold
The held call can be received only by the phone hold-
ing the call.
Holding a Call so that Anyone can Answer
The held call can be answered by any phone within the
group.
< Place Call on Hold >

Speaking with someone.

Click
(Hold Button).
Other person hears hold melody.
Now, your call is held.

The call is being held.

Click
(Call Button).

Speak with him or her.
When the call is ended, click
(Call But-
ton).

Click the Line Button of the call on
hold.

Holding a Call so that Only You can Answer
-Exclusive hold-
In this case, the call cannot be answered by any other
phone. It can be answered only by the phone holding a
call.
< Place Call on Hold >

Speaking with someone.

Click
(Hold Button) twice.
(The second click should be done within 2 sec-
onds of the first click.)
Other person hears hold melody.
Now, your call is held.
How to Use
Hold/Forward
Place Call on Hold
You want to change the hold
sound:
You can change the hold sound heard on
your phone while other person is holding
the call to a melody you like.

Lift the handset from the pedestal
now.
